It’s finally here — the ProTunerz Front Mount Intercooler Kit designed specifically for the Datsun 280ZX S130 chassis with the L-Series engine!
This drop-in kit includes everything you need to maximize cooling and airflow for your turbocharged L-Series setup, with options to fit all intake and throttle body configurations.

 Kit Features

• High-Efficiency Tube & Fin Intercooler
  Lightweight, low-pressure-drop design with a thicker core for increased cooling capacity and resistance to heat soak — ensuring consistent power and reliability under demanding conditions.

• Precision Aluminum Piping
  Mandrel-bent, TIG-welded 2.5″ aluminum piping with a polished finish and minimal couplers for optimal flow.

• Strong, Functional Mounting Brackets

  • Top Bracket: TIG-welded steel, powder-coated, and designed to bolt directly into the radiator support—no drilling required.

  • Lower Bracket: Black powder-coated steel that bolts into the lower frame and doubles as a mounting point for our upcoming Engine Oil Cooler Kit.

• PTZ Billet 50mm Blow-Off Valve
  Included in your choice of silver or black finish.

• Intercooler Core Specs:

  • Tube & Fin Core: 24″ L × 12″ H × 3.5″ Thick

  • Inlet/Outlet: 3″

• Upgraded End Tanks
  Newly designed cast end tanks with integrated fins for reduced weight and improved airflow.

• Heavy-Duty 4-Ply Silicone Couplers & Clamps
  Ensures secure connections and long-lasting performance.

• Will clear AC Compressor , PowerSteering, Multiple CAS units and distributors.

*Reduced inlet restrictions and cooler charge air improve oxygen density, allowing more efficient combustion and better mileage.

 Installation Notes

• Mechanical fan must be removed — an electric fan is required. Factory Air Filter housing and Charcoal Canister. 

• For S130 models, a 2.75–3″ round hole must be drilled for the hot-side charge pipe. Location: 3″ to the left of the upper radiator mounting hole. Lower bracket drills to frame with supplied self tap or Rivnuts
